Metal is awesome. John Darnielle is awesome. I’m here listening to Master of Reality and reading John’s dissertation on the album. Thank you, John, for this. As a public service, I am forwarding the call–please acknowledge bands like Black Sabbath. Even if you don’t think you’re into this kind of thing–well, read the promo .pdf of John’s book, and think again. I don’t have any beer or pot to accompany this post, but I do have coke that’s still in the glass bottles (which is the best, it’s made with real sugar and not corn syrup [at least, the ones from Mexico are {read your ingredients!}]), so let’s all drink to Ozzy for once.
